Official public notices · Verified against the original sources

Five regulators. Four continents. One name.

Between October 2025 and September 2026, financial regulators in Malaysia, Chile, the United Arab Emirates, Panama and Argentina each put Algobi on a public warning list. Every notice below links to the regulator's own page or to IOSCO's I-SCAN database, where regulators file their warnings. Read them yourself before you trust anyone, including us.

What a warning means

The regulator is telling the public that this firm is not licensed or authorised to offer investment services in that country. If something goes wrong, local investor-protection rules and compensation schemes may not help you.

What it doesn't mean

A warning is not a court verdict and does not by itself prove fraud. It does mean the firm is operating outside the rules of that country, and the regulator thought the public needed to know.

Why five matters

One warning can be a paperwork gap. Five separate regulators, on four continents, flagging the same brand within eleven months is a pattern every investor should weigh.

Comisión para el Mercado Financiero (CMF)

Public alert
Date
12 December 2025
Named
ALGOBI and DXA Seychelles Limited
Website
algobi.com/es/

Who they are. The CMF is Chile's financial market regulator, supervising banks, insurers, brokers and the securities market.

What happened. The CMF published an alert naming 13 unregulated platforms and entities. One entry reads: "ALGOBI and DXA SEYCHELLES LIMITED, which operate through the https://www.algobi.com/es/ website." The CMF states that the listed entities "are neither registered before the CMF nor legally authorized to provide regulated services." The CMF also filed the warning with IOSCO's I-SCAN on 15 December 2025.

Why it stands out. This is the only notice that names the operating company as well as the brand. DXA Seychelles Limited is the company Algobi itself says runs the platform.

The CMF's own advice

Check registration on the CMF website, search online for complaints about the company and its directors, use the CMF fraud-alerts page, and check IOSCO's I-SCAN for warnings from other countries.

IOSCO I-SCAN

IOSCO is the global body that brings together securities regulators from more than 130 jurisdictions. Its I-SCAN database collects the warnings its members publish about unauthorised firms. Search "Algobi" and you will see the Chile, UAE and Argentina warnings listed together. IOSCO notes that it publishes what members submit and does not verify each entry itself, so always open the regulator's own notice too.

The company's own disclosure: Algobi states that the Algobi brand is operated by DXA Seychelles Limited and cites a licence from the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (licence SD218). An offshore licence from Seychelles does not authorise a firm to offer regulated services in Malaysia, Chile, the UAE, Panama or Argentina. Check any licence on the regulator's own website, not on the broker's.

A second scam often follows the first

The Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) describes a case it says is based on real events. A woman it calls "Linda" lost over USD 100,000 on an unregistered platform. Soon after, a caller offered to recover her money and profits, and his assistant asked for USD 5,000 to "convert" the funds. CIRO confirmed it was a scam and told her to cut off contact.

If someone promises to get your money back for an upfront fee, a tax, an insurance payment or remote access to your device, stop. Knowing your name and how much you lost does not make them legitimate.

CIRO: The Recovery Scam ↗  ·  CIRO: Recovery scams guidance ↗

Before you deposit anywhere

Trade wise. Stay safe.

Before asking how much you could earn, ask a different question: can I get my money back, on my terms, whenever I choose?

Name the legal entity

Find the exact company behind the brand and the country where it is registered.

Check the licence yourself

Search the regulator's own register. Then check IOSCO's I-SCAN for warnings in other countries.

Ask where funds are held

Know which bank holds client money and whether it is kept separate from the company's own.

Get withdrawal terms in writing

Timelines, fees and conditions, before you send the first payment.

Never pay to get paid

A legitimate broker does not ask for a new deposit, tax or fee to release your own balance.

Verify who is calling

Account managers on WhatsApp or Telegram are not proof of anything. Contact the firm through its official channels.

A profit on a dashboard is not cash in your bank account.
